Recent listings have included accounting technicians, a supervisory accounting technician, an accounting clerk and a nonappropriated fund accounting technician, with positions at the National Gallery of Art, Pacific Air Forces, Air Mobility Command, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Commander, Navy Installations Command and the Veterans Health Administration.
Applying tip: describe the accounting systems you have used and the volume and types of transactions you processed, and be specific about reconciliations and error correction, which is where the specialized experience is usually tested. NF-graded positions are nonappropriated fund jobs with their own pay bands and benefits rather than the General Schedule. Our GS pay guide explains how the appropriated-fund grades work.
