Space Systems Command (SSC) is the U.S. Space Force field command that develops, acquires, launches and sustains military space systems: satellites, launch services, ground control networks and the space-based weather, communications and missile warning capabilities built on them. It is headquartered at Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo, California, with units at launch and test ranges elsewhere. Its civilian employees are Department of the Air Force civilians.
