The Office of the Secretary of Transportation (OST) is the headquarters of the Department of Transportation: the Secretary’s immediate office and the departmental offices for policy, budget and finance, general counsel, civil rights, public affairs and administration, which oversee the operating administrations such as the Federal Aviation Administration, the Federal Highway Administration and the Federal Transit Administration. Its jobs are policy, legal, financial and management positions at the department’s Washington, D.C., headquarters.

Recent listings have included a director of the office of outreach and project development, a deputy director of the departmental office of civil rights, a chief financial officer, a human resources specialist in classification and a personnel security specialist open to both U.S. citizens and current federal employees.
