Air Mobility Command is the Air Force major command responsible for airlift, aerial refueling and aeromedical evacuation, moving people and cargo for the whole Department of Defense and keeping other aircraft flying through air refueling. It is headquartered at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois and operates mobility wings at bases across the country.
