Summary

You will serve as a Transportation Specialist in the Command Service Branch, Command Administrative Division, and Command Operations Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will function as a Transportation Incentive Program (TIP) coordinator for the Command and as Reviewing Official (RO) for official travel vouchers.

You will conduct a variety of tasks in the planning and execution of travel authorization, orders, and vouchers.

You will interpret and adhere to applicable travel and financial regulations (e.g., Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), Federal Travel Regulations (FTR), Defense Travel Regulations, etc.).

You will use Microsoft Office Software (e.g., MS Outlook, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel) to evaluate, prepare, and edit organizational messages, correspondence, presentations, and reports.

You will apply fact-finding, analytical, and problem-solving techniques to resolve controversial and technical issues for assigned program.

You will utilize web-based applications and agency specific databases to create and process travel documents.

You will communicate, orally and in writing, to articulate, present, and promote varied ideas and issues to internal and external contacts.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: GS-07: 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement GS-09: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
