Summary

This position is in the Office of Business Requirements and Analysis Division (OBRAD), Office of the Deputy Commissioner for Trademark Administration, Office of the Commissioner. OBRAD is responsible for the communications, collaboration, product management, technology development practices and processes, resource management, and system/business analyses to support buildable and testable requirements for delivering information technology services and solutions to the Trademarks Business Unit;

Duties

The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. Presence at the Alexandria, VA campus is required for this role, as it includes on site functions that must be performed in person. Position may be eligible for situational telework in accordance with agency policy/business unit discretion. The agency currently allows for 52 hours of telework per calendar year. The individual selected for this position: Has a passion for providing authoritative technical advice and guidance for the design or modification of business IT systems. Is enthusiastic about interacting with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to determine appropriate products or services required which involves requirements gathering, documenting and analyzing business needs. Has as desire for defining product requirements, scope, develops epics/features/user stories and supporting documentation for the development and/or enhancement of business information systems. Enjoys applying business process modeling, metrics, tools, techniques and approaches to analyze and evaluate an organization to design and improve processes and performance. Is excited about producing quantifiable and qualitative results to identify potential improvements in the way information technology is applied to key business functions. Hah a passion for documenting product problems and identifies, assesses and manages product risk and defect activities and recommends process improvements and takes corrective action when problems arise.
