Summary

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

VA Careers - Social Work: https://youtube.com/embed/enRhz_ua_UU Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Establishes & maintains an ongoing education program for Veterans, caregivers, community agencies, students, & staff to facilitate understanding of clinical practice guidelines, mental health issues, readjustment issues & psychosocial issues facing caregivers. Develops & facilitates CSP- program focused direction, orientation, coaching, in-service training, staff development, & continuing education programs for VA facility staff & the community. Develops & implements a plan for outreach to Veterans & Veteran caregivers who may benefit from the CSP program services (but who do not presently use VA for their health care needs). Directly supervises the VA HCS Caregiver Support Coordinator(s) (CSC) &, when applicable, Program Support Assistant (PSA) & other interprofessional staff assigned to Caregiver Support Program. Coordinates program implementation with multiple clinical services across all campus locations within the VA facility, including but not limited to: nursing; physical, occupational, & speech therapists; mental health & primary care providers. Provides clinical interventions to the Veteran & caregiver populations served by the programs. Serves as a consultant to other VA professionals & administrators on program specific activities. Serves as a liaison to Veterans Integrated Service Network Program (VISN) CSP Program & the VA Central Office (VACO) Program. Serves as the VA HCS POC for all inquiries & outreach requests regarding eligible PCAFC & PGCSS caregivers. This includes a wide variety of stakeholders (e.g., Veterans, family's members, state & community agencies, Veterans Service Organizations [VSOs], military support programs, Post Deployment Events, Yellow Ribbon events, National Guard & Reservist Units). Identifies unmet needs of the caregiver population, their families/significant others & caregivers. Works collaboratively with facility, VISN, & VA Central Office staff to develop & implement solutions- participating in national, regional, & VISN operational calls; contributing to national leadership council committees; & implementing cultural transformation initiatives (e.g., Elizabeth Dole Foundation's Campaign for Inclusive Care (CIC), the Rosalyn Carter Institute). Performs the administrative & personnel management function relative to staff supervised including personnel actions, clinical supervision, consultation, negotiation with other departments, & quality improvement. Works collaboratively with internal staff, VISN & VACO leadership, & external stakeholders to expedite service delivery. Provides consultation & briefings to other staff & internal/external stakeholders on the special needs of caregivers. When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of higher or unique qualifications or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade). Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience. Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child. Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66. Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement) Telework: Available on an ad-hoc basis. Requirements
