Summary
The incumbent of this position supervises a team of passport specialists within the New York Passport Agency. Under the overall supervision of an Adjudication Manager, the incumbent supervises the acceptance and adjudication of passport applications and authorization of issuance to qualified American citizens and nationals as provided by the laws and regulations of the United States.
Duties
Plans, schedules, and prioritizes the work of subordinate staff and adjusts assignments as needed .
Initiates requests for personnel actions including the filling of vacancies and recommending employees for career promotions as appropriate.
Maintains liaison with Department officials regarding unusual citizenship or passport eligibility cases.
In conjunction with Customer Service Managers (CSMs), maintains liaison with acceptance agents.
Assists in the development and delivery of fraud training for agency/center staff and works with the Fraud Program Manager (FPM) to provide additional fraud prevention training.
