Summary
About the Position: You will serve as the Chief Data Officer (CDO), principal advisor to the Director for data management and governance within the Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division (DACID) Information Management Department (IMD) providing strategic technology leadership and enterprise IT service for DACID worldwide.
Duties
Manages data governance efforts to create guidance for data frameworks and policies to increase value and usage.
Promotes awareness of data management policy and strategies among DACID law enforcement community
Overseas implementation of methods and tools to extract, collect, and device meaning from metrics to provide data as to whether data governance investments are yielding data of improved quality, easier access, and managed and auditable security.
Creates guidance for data frameworks and policies to increase value and usage within DACID data governance effort.
Establishes mechanisms to coordinate appropriate sharing of data management capabilities, processes, and standards across DACID law enforcement community.
Identifies emerging technologies and trends to aid in the Agency’s decision making and investments as to which technologies to exploit.
Assign work to be accomplished by subordinates and ensures timely performance and quality of work.
