About the Position: This is a full time, permanent position with US Army Corps of Engineers.The incumbent serves as the Chief, Construction & Service Support Branch.
Duties
Apply extensive engineering, construction, and management knowledge and experience to fully plan, coordinate and direct the work
Serve as Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) and develops policy related to administration of ACO/AAO requirements of the center
Develop policies for administration from broad program objectives and requirements for areas of contract management for which no Center policy may exist
Ensure deadlines and met and work is in compliance with requirements of higher echelon of command
Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees
Make selections for subordinate non-supervisory positions
Find ways to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to production,promote team building, or improve business practices
Determine that the contractor's operations comply with wage and hour, equal employment opportunity, and other labor laws and regulations
Provide engineering advice and technical assistance to Office of Counsel in preparation of evidence for use in litigation
Conduct periodic safety meetings for both government and contractor personnel
