Summary

This position is located within a Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Medical Center (VAMC) at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).The primary purpose of the Ambulatory Care Operations Director-Group Practice Manager (ACOD-GPM) is to provide oversight and administrative management of all ambulatory care services in the VAMC and related Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) as it relates to access to care as applicable.

Duties

Duties to include, but may not limited to the following: Direct and oversee ambulatory care operations, clinic practice management, and access tocare across the medical center and CBOCs Analyze operational, access, quality, workload, and performance data to improve efficiencyand patient outcomes. Supervise, evaluate, mentor, and develop subordinate supervisors and staff. Develop strategic plans, policies, business plans, and process improvement initiativessupporting ambulatory care. Prepare and manage budgets, staffing plans, resource allocation, and cost analyses. Coordinate with executive leadership, VISN, VACO, clinical leaders, and externalstakeholders on access initiatives and policy implementation. Lead continuous process improvement using Lean, data analytics, scheduling optimization,and Veteran experience initiatives. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm Telework: This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process. Assessment results may be used as part of the evaluation, ranking and referral process. This is not a timed test, however, the assessment is expected to take approximately 45 minutes or less to complete. The assessment for this application does not include a cut score for a minimum level of required proficiency in these critical general competencies. However, you must answer each item in the assessment.
