The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees of a branch within the Operations Division.

Duties

Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of a branch within the Operations Division of the Air National Guard (ANG) Logistics and Installations Directorate, ensuring that facility and infrastructure design, construction, operation and maintenance complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs and manages the execution of the MCP and SRM programs. Represents the ANG Operations Division with a variety of installation und functional area organizations. Develops and implements ANG policies and guidance related to facility engineering including design, construction, operations and sustainment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): CONTINUED FROM QUALIFICATIONS: 4. Knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements as outlined in applicable standards, regulations, and/or technical orders. Skills and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; maintaining good working relationships with other people and organizations, both internal and external, to accomplish a desired outcome. 5. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and apprise the staff of subordinate employees. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources. 6. Ability to plan and organize work; analyze, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, and procedures in a variety of situations; recommend timely and economical solutions; coordinate with other engineering disciplines and architects.
