Summary

About the Position: This is a full time, permanent position with US Army Corps of Engineers.The incumbent serves as the Chief, Electrical Branch.

Duties

Plan, direct, and coordinate a comprehensive electrical engineering program to support numerous, highly complex systems in several different agencies.

Review and approve designs, specifications, estimates, special reports and studies prepared by engineer contractors.

Direct the electrical engineering designs on several major, long-term projects.

Act as consultant and technical specialist in dealing authoritatively in many contacts and negotiations with Architect-Engineer firms, and representatives of higher echelons.

Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates.

Supervise work for electrical engineering programs that involve design, public safety, public health, and state-of-the-art equipment and facilities.

Ensure contractor compliance with program requirements, conformance with standards, best engineering practices and for compatibility with construction requirements and procedures..
