Duties
You will serve as a recognized authority/advisor and/or senior manager to the Commander/Executive Director/Director/Program Manager.s.
You will be an authority when making contractual decisions and procurement policies/procedures and recommendations
You will analyze, evaluate, and review proposed and on-going procurement and cost and pricing data for highly complex multi-year acquisition of major systems.
You will serve on a variety of high-level boards and committees including representation and/or liaison with Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Navy (DON), and Marine Corps (MC).
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust priorities, evaluate work performance of subordinates, give advice or instruct employees, and identify developmental and training needs.
Education
Applicants must meet the following Basic Education Requirement of the Department of Defense Qualification Standard for Contracting Positions: Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees. OR A current career or career-conditional employee of the Department of Defense who occupied an 1102 or contracting position with authority to award or administer contracts in excess of the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT) in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000. OR A current active duty military member of the armed forces (other than Coast Guard) who occupied a contracting position or similar occupational specialty to the GS (or equivalent) 1102 on or before September 30, 2000.
