About the Position: This position is located within the US Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District, Contracting Division where you will function as the District Contracting Chief and principal procurement official and senior Contracting Officer for acquisition of all supplies, services, construction, architect engineer, utilities, agreements and as Contracting Officer on all high dollar, high risk, complex, or special interest acquisitions.
Duties
Pprovide executive leadership and contracting authority for national, regional, and interagency acquisition programs assigned to and executed by the Huntington District.
Provide specialized acquisition support to National programs such as the USACE Dam Safety Center and the Planning Center of Expertise.
Provide specialized acquisition support to Regional programs such as the Regional Repair Fleet and the Regional Channel Maintenance Team Mechanical Dredge Support program.
Develop long range organizational plans and goals and assign work; establish priorities; and balance workload to support both District specific and enterprise program requirements.
Represent the Huntington District in meetings with senior officials from USACE Headquarters, other Districts, Federal and state agencies, industry organizations, and contractors concerning current and long-range acquisition programs.
