This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties
You will serve as the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) Victim Advocate (VA) performing essential victim advocacy and support duties within the Navy or Marine Corps command, base, or installation.
You will serve as point of contact for senior management, faculty, or staff regarding sexual assault response programs.
You will complete risk assessments and documentation for case review, develop reports, information papers, talking points, briefing packages, or other Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) program information for senior leaders.
You will assist the victim in prioritizing actions and identifying short- and long-term options to support needs and recovery.
You will provide comprehensive referrals to on-installation and off-installation resources to include victim advocacy, legal, and medical/mental healthcare.
Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required specialized experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position:GS-11 Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a related discipline appropriate to the position OR Successful completion of 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree. OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Transcripts must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
