Duties
If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for legal and administrative support in the Criminal. At the full performance level, you will provide a variety of legal and technical support services to the United States Attorney's Office, District of Idaho in our Coeur d'Alene or Pocatello branch offices. Duties may include but are not limited to: Provide clerical, legal and administrative support to multiple attorneys, including docketing, calendaring, and applying basic knowledge of Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure. Prepare pleadings, stipulations, motions, tables of authorities, tables of contents, and other legal documents to include cite-check legal briefs. Manage discovery in a variety of formats, including paper documents, PDF files, image files, audio files, video files, and other electronic file types. Manage intake and production of discovery and other relevant data by logging receipt, reviewing, organizing, and indexing. Preparing, organizing, and helping present exhibits for court proceedings which involve audio/video, transcripts, documents and visual materials, including charts, diagrams, photographs and models. Conduct factual and legal research in legal and non-legal databases in support of investigations and cases. Compose original correspondence that does not require legal interpretations but does require a working knowledge of legal procedures and specialized terminology. Assist with trial preparation and presentation by preparing exhibits and utilizing litigation technology. Perform other related duties as assigned. You will receive formal and/or on-the-job training as needed. Responsibilities will increase, and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
Education
All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
