About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, located at Tripler Army Medical Center, Directorate of Resource Management, Information Management Branch, Honolulu Hawaii.
Duties
Serve as a Senior System Administrator for designated Tripler Army Medical Center systems and as an expert on matters related to large information technology systems used in the hospital environment.
Serve as the System Administrator for one or more systems which includes the understanding, implementation, troubleshooting, security, tuning and daily maintenance of large client-server IT systems.
Coordinate with various external sections, departments and agencies as needed in order to quickly resolve issues and ensures leadership and other stakeholders are kept aware of issues.
Provide project management support for incoming or changing IT systems.
Conduct fact finding studies, addressing automation requirements with departmental health care professional and actively participates in determining nature and scope of operations processes to be automated.
Provide support by understanding departmental IT business processes/needs and guides departments towards cost effective IT solutions to meet functional business processes.
