Summary

This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Intelligence & Analysis (I&A). The primary purpose of this position is planning, organizing, and directing branch activities to ensure intelligence support operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. The position serves as a technical authority providing advice and guidance on complex IT issues. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.

Duties

As a IT Specialist (Branch Chief, IT Operations and Engineering), GS-2210-14, your typical work assignments may include: Supervise the IT Asset Management, I&A Customer Support, and the IT Regional Support teams, supporting unclassified and classified Core Service IT capabilities by implementing a services-oriented delivery model for customers in the IC and DHS Intelligence Enterprise (IE). Assigns work to subordinate employees based on organizational priorities, taking into consideration the difficulty and requirements of each assignment, while ensuring the experience, training, and abilities of the staff are effectively utilized to meet the organization and customer needs. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly, ensuring a positive experience through effective communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills. Communicates any IT project status in designated formats at appropriate levels and forums. Communicates with stakeholders and ensures their equities are properly considered.
