Summary
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Position is with Program and Project Management Division. Recruitment, Relocation, Enhanced leave to include Student loan Repayment MAY be offered to highly qualified candidates.
Duties
Serves as a project manager responsible for managing the efficient and effective coordination and accomplishment assigned projects associated with a Military Program segment.
Applies knowledge of management concepts, principles, methods, and practices, as well as knowledge of methods, practices, and processes of disciplines necessary for accomplishment of projects.
Participates in district programming decisions affecting long- and short-range courses of action for assigned projects.
Coordinates the planning, design, cost engineering, construction, and environmental considerations for projects.
Controls and manages project milestones and budgets from preliminary assessments through design and construction.
Provides status reports on projects assigned (progress, issues and trends) to management (Project Review Board) and the district corporate leadership (Project Delivery Board).
Represents the District Commander and serves as the district's primary point of contact with stakeholder(s), Federal, state and local government agencies, Congressional interests, other external organizations and higher authorities.
Responsible for the development of all required customer and Corps of Engineers agreements and leads the negotiation of such agreements on the part of the Corps of Engineers.
