Summary
You will serve as an Intelligence Specialist in the Tactical Reconstruction Branch, Submarine Warfare Operations Research Division (SWORD) of NIMITZ OPERATIONAL INTELLIGENCE CENTER.
Duties
You will serve as a senior tactical/antisubmarine warfare (ASW) analyst and subject matter expert (SME) on foreign submarine and ASW intelligence collection, acoustic analysis, and tactical reconstruction.
You will plan and lead complex research and analysis projects that result in the production of finished intelligence reports, threat assessments, and studies, providing input to ONI’s integrated warfare analysis pertaining to SWORD focus countries.
You will provide accurate reporting and assessments on foreign submarine and ASW tactics and operations by incorporating expert knowledge of foreign submarines’ and ASW platforms’ technical capabilities, doctrine and training.
You will direct, mentor, and advise analysts on developing production objectives, intelligence collection requirements, analytical processes, research methodology, and overall intelligence tradecraft.
You will prepare and present briefings to high level audiences, cultivate productive exchanges with foreign partners, and initiate and produce written products for a variety of customers.
Education
You must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone; substitution of education for experience is not permitted at this grade level.
