Duties

The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a command headquarters level Information Operations (IO) program analyst, applying expert knowledge of substantive agency programs and related systems to analyze, develop, and evaluate issues, and make recommendations to resolve complex and difficult problems. This position provides a Major Command (MAJCOM) action officer and program manager for military operations in one or more areas such as tactics; strategy; Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR); Joint Operations; Special Operations; Air Mobility; Exercise; Combat Planning; weapons and ammunition; equipment operations; aircrew training; field skills; command and control; readiness, communications; or other related subjects. Duties: Applying IO experience; analyzes, develops, and evaluates detailed plans, goals, and objectives for long-range implementation of assigned MAJCOM programs. Documents IO planning and programming decisions in appropriate formats to meet Air Force and MAJCOM requirements. Actively participates in strategic planning to improve organizational direction and focus using strategic planning tools and techniques. Prepares and delivers oral presentations such as briefings, training sessions, consultations, and strategy sessions with other staff service functions and activities to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters, and convey information relative to proposed changes in assigned program(s).
