Summary
You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Comptroller Department, Accounting Division or Budget Division (Code 610/620) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. SALARY CLARIFICATION: GS-07: $52,680 - $68,485 GS-09: $64,438 - $83,774
Duties
You will assist with payroll, accounts payable, cost accounting, and general equipment accountability functions.
You will identify and investigate accounting discrepancies, assess the need for adjustments, and implement corrective actions.
You will perform fiscal, accounting or financial management duties.
You will analyze the costs and benefits of alternative financial management methods for programs and administrative operations, determine needed adjustments, and implement corrective actions.
You will respond to Shipyard customer inquiries and deliver high-quality customer service.
You will interpret budgetary and accounting policies and practices.
Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: FOR THE GS-09 POSITION: Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree -or- Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree -or- Completion of a LL.B. or J.D., which is related to the duties of this position;\ -or A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience FOR THE GS-07 POSITION: Successful completion of 1 full year of graduate level education -or- Successful completion of a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement -or- A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
