Duties
If selected at the GS-09 level, duties will be performed in a developmental capacity:
Manages and ensures the readiness of all vehicles and support equipment, using the Fleet Management Information System (FLMIS) for dispatching, maintenance scheduling, work order management, and tracking equipment status and usage.
Prepares technical specifications and justifications for equipment procurement. Develops long-range acquisition plans, recommends funding priorities, and makes recommendations for the repair, disposal, or procurement of equipment.
Serves as the COR for maintenance and repair contracts.
Monitors contractor performance, inspects work to ensure compliance with contract specifications, and administers task orders.
Acts as a Hand Receipt Holder for non-expendable property. Conducts physical inventories, manages property records, and coordinates the transfer or turn-in of surplus and unserviceable property.
Functions as an Instructor and Certifying Official for Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and other vehicles. Develops and delivers operator training programs in accordance with DLA, OSHA, and manufacturer requirements, and maintains training records.
Assists the Site Safety Officer by conducting equipment inspections, participating in incident investigations, and ensuring compliance with all DLA, DOD, and OSHA safety standards.

GRADUATE EDUCATION: One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours that your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study. FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
