Duties
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead national informal EEO counseling and case management operations, ensuring timely, compliant processing. Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of EEO and administrative professionals by setting performance standards, fostering professional development, and cultivating a highly collaborative, high-performing team environment. Partner collaboratively with executive leadership and external stakeholders to integrate equal opportunity directly into VA's overall corporate strategic planning and organizational priorities. Develop strategic program goals and monitor progress toward organizational objectives. Prepare briefing materials based upon the informal EEO program performance for leadership. Interpret federal EEO laws, regulations, and case precedent to guide program decisions and policies. Manage stakeholder communication with EEOC, OEDCA, OGC, ORM leadership, and field operations. Conducts onsite visits to agency facilities for the purpose of compliance to establish program policies and to respond to situations that have the potential to become volatile. Maintains appropriate oversight over budgetary expenditures and obligations to ensure compliance with Federal and organizational policy. Determines and coordinates projects and defines their interdependencies as it relates to developing a Model EEO Program. Conducts agency analyses of EEO cases in which discrimination was found, recommending policy changes or other appropriate corrective actions ensuring that an analysis is conducted to develop preventive strategies and improve the VA working environment. Prepare and deliver training on informal EEO processes, responsibilities, and best practices.
