Duties

As an Electronics Engineer, you will perform the following duties: Conduct electromagnetic compatibility analyses of various radiocommunications systems and provide leadership on spectrum engineering tasks. Interpret policies and guidelines regarding the radio frequency spectrum. Assess various radiocommunications systems, spectrum policies, and technical guidelines to prepare engineering reports. Perform in-depth spectrum resource utilization assessments and recommend critical spectrum management policies. Analyze wireless communication systems and draft recommendations. Utilize databases and automated systems to retrieve, sort, analyze data, and prepare written reports. Serve as a subject matter expert providing electronics engineering expertise. This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Electronics Engineer GS-0855-13, FPL GS-14 positions within the Department of Commerce in the same geographical location or local commuting area with the same qualifications and specialized experience.

Requirements

You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position. This position requires a SECRET CLEARANCE: Any required investigations and clearances must be completed before the selectee can be placed in the position. You will be evaluated based on how well you meet the qualifications listed in this vacancy announcement.
