Summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve as an electrical engineering specialist in the Electrical Section responsible for development of Design Build RFPs, Design Bid Build designs, plans, and specifications for interior building electrical, exterior primary and secondary distribution systems.

Duties

Designs projects of a complex nature, which includes planning, design analysis, contract drawings and specifications for In-house Design Bid Build (IHDBB) full design packages.

Reviews projects of a complex nature, which includes plans, design analysis, design details, contract drawings and specifications produced by Architecture-Engineering (AE) firms for AE Design Build (AEDB) or AE Design Bid Build (AEDBB) projects.

Consults with other elements of the District or other sections of the Branch regarding discrepancies or changes in criteria and design of specific features, additions or alterations to existing facilities.

Performs field trips for the purpose of providing advice, consultation, investigation, and inspection of all electrical aspects of work during construction and upon project completion.
