Summary
The employee will serve as a Contact Representative at the Denver Regional Office, in Lakewood, CO. The employee is responsible for processing applications for benefits for Children Women Vietnam Veterans (CWVV), VA Spina Bifida Healthcare Program (SB) and Camp Lejeune Family Member Program (CLFMP).
Duties
***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION*** Duties include, but may not be limited to the following: Processes applications for various benefits. Examines, develops and evaluates relevant documentation related to the applications. Records eligibility and clinical status in databases. Coordinates data exchange among different offices and systems to ensure benefits are awarded in compliance with laws, regulations and policy. Interprets disability ratings to determine eligibility. Examines applications for possible errors and acts according to current operational policies. Makes the appropriate entries in application processing databases to record eligibility and clinical status. Updates established records and determines whether the entry reflects proper program determinations have been made and maintained. Provides timely responses to external inquiries. Receives and initiates correspondence and emails. Performs mass data entry using automated systems. Performs other duties as assigned.
