Summary
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a Construction Control Representative GS-0809-12 position for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Tulsa District, Hydropower Resident Office. Duty Location is Cowlington, OK at the R.S. Kerr Hydroelectric Power Plant.
Duties
You will serve as a Senior Inspector on major power plant rehabilitation projects, overseeing construction contracts valued between $5 million to $100 million.
You will ensure that all construction work meets governing plans, specifications, and contract terms through daily surveillance.
You will act as a liaison with contractors on plan interpretation, shop drawings, and progress schedules, etc.
You will assist in reviewing and negotiating contract modifications.
You will review contractor safety plans to recommend corrective actions to Contracting Officer Representative.
